Can you change queldelar
Not too horrible. Crit and Haste take priority over Armor Pen for Unholy. Comment by frmorrison This is the best item for DK or Rets don't need expertise from the questline. Comment by I cannot wait to get this. Going from a Titansteel Destroyer to this is going to be one amazing upgrade! Comment by wylie so pallys can only get the sword? Comment by wylie and rogues? I didnt know if they meant tank or dps on above comments. Comment by digidan99 Dead on! Tier10 is itemized beautifully with tons of haste, and Quel'Delar adds the perfect hasted weapon while maintaining a nice slow speed for a higher CS and DS.
Comment by hmm, noticed that the quest were repeatable says so on the quest here on wowhead at least so, am i able to dualwield 2 of those baybies or at least this in mainhand and scorned in offhand? But there is always the 25 man Ony sword and one of these Comment by runbird11 You ll got The Sword in the Skull achievement after completing the quest line.
Comment by So as a blood dps, should I use this weapon or Ferocity of the Scorned? I believe that ArP would increase the dps in the combo even more though, but still its nice to know that its not a wasted stat. Comment by Lohung can they be duel wielded? Comment by So where does it Drop the Quest! For the Alliance! Comment by As long as i dont have rare weapon, i think it is a really good weapon, i've been stuck with the runblade of demonstrable power for too long, now that i have this, i'm set for the ICC 10man.
Comment by whitedragon Quel'Delar had a minor glitch on the first day of 3. These hilts also would glitch, they would vanish if someone died then rezzed in an instance, also would vanish if they left the instance in anyway.
A hotfix raised the drop rate, but it isnt as high as the first day drop rate. I know this because i was one of the people who were lucky enough to get it on the first day, along with two people i know who also reported their hilts having vanished once they left the instance. Comment by bubkusjones I'm sure he was referring to Titans Grip warriors dual wielding this sword with either Burnished Quel'Serrar or Shadowmourne.
But by the time you obtain this weapon, you are quite likely hit capped already. Haste hasn't ever looked better. Comment by I chose this over the scorned sword for my blood DK. MaxDps has the Scorned sword slightly better than Faithful, however.
Hope I made the right choice Does the quest-reward aspect of it not allow you to have two? Comment by HandofDeath blizzard said even tho this will be the "LAST" raid and dungeons they still will make new ones just to give the players something to do besides doing icecrown citadel for months until cataclysm possibly they will have a series of events leading to cataclysm.
Comment by gatygun This weapon is great for retri pvp do not underestemate the haste thats on it. Comment by o.
O I thought this was the Hunter version? In all serialness though. Death Knights and Tanking DKs using agil dps weapons isn't a bad thing, but strength is better. Indeed most highend one-hander dps have agil as a base stat, with attack power and crit as an additional stat.
Agil adds to crit marginally. Most one handers with stam and strength that a DK would actually like are defense weapons with too low top-end weapon damage to be meaningful gimping all special attacks. So If you are DW, you're stuck with agil.
But there is more economy on strength per ilevel than AP. While agil is not bad, it's just that Strength is so much more a meaningful stat to DKs both on raw AP and other abilities, that given a preference, DKs should opt for Strength bearing weapons. Inevitably, this means using hefty 2H weapons with nice beefy max damage for specials. And sadly, gimping the frost tree for dps apparently - I'm not entirely convinced of this yet though.
But you may find yourself being squeezed into blood tanking for endgame. Certainly the buff to heart strike in the 2set bonus lends more nicely to blood tanking 6 stabs in blood per runic set, vs two in frost tanking. Another point to remember, you will conserve more RP for Rune Strikes when using a 2hander, permitting each auto to be a RS, and also hitting on a yellow based attack. Haste is not actually a bad stat either. For tanking, while slower weapon swings do permit you to ensure every autoattack is a Rune Strike.
There is a break point on this consideration when duel wielding however. It happens when you're swinging so much, that you're guaranteed of this anyhow at around the 2sec or less swing speed, obtainable with 2. Meaning if you happened to miss an RS from latency, or loss of RP etc. Demystifying the haste stat on this particular item It's no accident either that the haste stat on this weapn, just so happens to put it on an effective swing timer of 3.
Maybe I'm missing some ulterior motives for not doing this service, let me know what you think! Did you actually try to start another Hilt quest chain? Anyway I think you are not asking for such a big deal.
So a GM could perform this swap one time in my opinion. Maybe make another ticket, a kinder GM maybe will help you. You meet with Krasus, but it turns out he'd already loaned out his reference book to an earlier visitor.
While you are talking with Krasus, Kalecgos flys in and assumes his half-elven guise. Krasus turns to Kalecgos for aid. Kalecgos is leery, having been burned by mortals wielding draconic artifacts before. Alexstrasza puts an end to debate, noting that mortal champions have been using the Prismatic Blades against evil for quite some time now. Krasus urges you to meet with another contact in Dalaran. Your contact has discovered that the other side has an intelligence agent spy in the Underbelly.
You are assigned to stop him, and retrieve any information he may have on him. Pretty much right where your agent told you, is the spy.
You defeat him The Underbelly is just that kind of place. You search the body and find a note. The spy was to be a courier, taking the book to Quel'Delar's Rest. You are directed to go to Shandy Glossgleam , who operates an elemental-powered laundry on the balcony above Threads of Fate in Dalaran. Shandy owes a few favors to people, including your contact.
You meet with Shandy, and he's willing to help you, if you help him with the current load of laundry. As Shandy calls out instructions, you toss clothes into the wash, the elemental cleans them and tosses them on the clothes lines. After a bit, the laundry is done, and you "borrow" a tabard, promising to return it shortly. Your contact enchants the tabard to allow you to slip past the guards and meet with the person who borrowed the book from Wyrmrest. It works like You tell your contact you're ready to deliver his tome, he hands it to you, and you walk out with him none the wiser.
Your contact takes the enchanted tabard back to return to Shandy , and directs you back to Quel'Delar's Rest. You return to Icecrown, book in hand. He soon identifies it, but Out of nowhere, Blood-Queen Lana'thel appears. The guards rush toward her, but she encases them in blocks of ice. She describes the history of Quel'Delar , its connection to Quel'Serrar , and how the blade came to be broken.
Before leaving again, she announces, "Quel'Delar will never serve another! The first step is to remake the blade. You are instructed to enter the Pit of Saron , find sufficient Infused Saronite Bars , and use Forgemaster Garfrost 's hammer to reforge the sword. The Pit of Saron is no place to go alone.
For this, you recruit a group of friends. It's a giant hammer, as would befit the giant who uses it. He doesn't give it up willingly, but you manage to claw it from his cold, dead hands. The scourge guarding the infused saronite are similarly reluctant to part with their charges.
But in the end, a large number of scourge lay dead again , and you hold in your hands a blade composed of infused saronite. Returning to Quel'Delar's rest with the Reforged Quel'Delar , it is determined that the saronite is too brittle to last in battle, and must be tempered.
